Peter brings his listeners the facts, and people are so perplexed they ask what they must do.
Cowardice will do you no good. You must be courageous to protect your soul.
In modern times some said 'a ship is safe in harbour, but that is not what ships are for'.
v37 look at the effect, they were cut to the heart,
The word is shaper than a two edged sword.

it is between them and God, we are leading people to a point to decide in the light of the truth.
This morning Ben read from Exodus 5:1-5 and preached his sermon 'Knowing the Lord'.
Where he tells of of Moses being bold with Pharaoh, and how Pharaoh responds to it.
Moses is bold because he has had this glance with death.
v3 the God has met with Us.
they must be obedient to to God. your walk with God counts.
Pharaoh is bold, but a different kind of boldness
Pharaoh says I do not not know the lord, who is this lord I do not know the lord.
v2 should I obey him?
This evening Ben took his reading from Acts 2:25-36, and titles his sermon Jesus: Lord and Christ. Reminding us that Jesus is both Lord and Christ.
Perter Preaches from Scripture, in this case from Pslams 16 and 110.
Plasm 16: 10 peter sayes v25, it's not David it's jesus.
2:30 his decendants will stay on the throne,
33 He is seated at the farthers right hand. Jesus is King.
Palsm 110 v1 The Lord said to My Lord.
This morning Ben read from Exodus 4: 18-31 and preached on 'Farhers' and there roles and responsbilities, and the effects farthers have on our lives. Moses was called to save a nation but he caused the crises on the journey, by not preaparing his first born God comes out to try and kill him.
Moses had not repected Gods requirement circumcision he falled in his duties because he had not had is sons circumcision.
In fact he was underplaying the mission God had sent him on, and it was only after his wife steped in and sorted the problem, that Moses began to tell of his mission, as he was a man of the world not a man of the word, and was only getting grips with the fact, the wages of sin is death, a leson we all have to learn.
v24: the message is to us Moses had a personal relationship with God and lernt sin is sin is sin and always results in death without the sheading of blood wounding to heal, paid for by the bridegroom of blood.
This week is the Grace Baptist Missions's Wiltshire Rally. We are pleased to welcome Chris Pegington who works with GBM in Peru. During his Childrens Talk about Arequipa in Peru jan 2011they met a lady called Lucretia who was concerned for the people and children of San Pedro.
During his visit the work started with about 12 to 15 rose to 40 or more in a week, also something remarkable happened, her husband came to along to church for the first time,
This evening Ben read from Psalm 16, and preach from Acts 1:16, 2:14 and 2:41, to form a summary of the first three portions of his series of Acts
Peter stood up
2:14 the effects of Peters ministry, he stood up with the eleven,
2:41 those who accepted his message and were baptised, and 3000 were added to there number that day.
All in a few days, strenthing and growing 'Standing up for Jesus'
The work starts from home, and through the foundation build futher and futher.
Even then sectarioin and the mission beilivers are going in oposite directions, one is internal, the other mission, is colabarative, and wide reaching.
We agree we have work to do and we need each other
2:41 120 people with one leader, then 12 leaders and thousands of conversions.
You know the differnce Christ has made for you, so we standup and use ourselves because through the Sprit we do make a diffenence.
Where do we start local churches for local people.
what are the keys to our sucesses, we need to understand how much we have in common with each other, our diffences is our unique relationship with Jesus Christ.
We are goinging to need Christ filled people, filled by the Sprit and centred on Christ, lodged in the bible.
2:14
What was in him came out of him, scriture upone scripture.
2:41
Devote them to the teaching and the work, each individual through the bible, and prayer
Jesus waked on the earth 40 days, and could of stayed longer. But Jesus trusted God that the same holy sprit, that lived in him, would life in the people who belive.
The sprit is not to consolodate our sect, it is to expand the mission, stand up up for Jesus, first we will need to go down on our knees and pray and be bible cetred.
This week is the Grace Baptist Missions's Wiltshire Rally. We are pleased to welcome Chris Pegington who worked with GBM, He took his reading from Psalm 2: entitleing his sermon 'Why be envoled in world mission?'.
Chris reminded us that world mission has always been on God's heart
and Paslm 2 natually falles into a 4 point sermon
Why Mission
1-3 because the world is in rebelion, the world destrespectul and need saving.
4-6 God sits enthorned in Heaven
7-9 God play is known
10-12 Be obedient to God's plan
This morning Paul Oliver read from Mark chapter 3 preaching from Mark3 : 28-30
centring on "religion does not save you, only christ saves".
Christ did not come to patch up he comes to bring something new. Even today we ask ourselves why was it the destructive objections came from the church.
Perhaps with our work in the church we think deserve a the long service medal, or a the giving medal,or even the endurance medal.
We are reminded that only Christ can save, for He Himself said without me you can do nothing.
The religious leaders of the day said he is league with Satin, but Satin would not want to destroy himself
Chris gave very serious warning pointing out there is a sin for which is no forgiveness,he teaches them he warns them, he is still given them a last chance.
v28-29 Unforgivable sin what does it mean to blaspheme, in the holy sprit.
It is wilful deliberate, malicious work against the sprit. This is not something that they are not sure of.
This morning Paul Oliver came to speak to us, his children's talk was about some dolphins who were saved by the worlds tallest man, and how we need to be saved by Jesus Christ came to carry our sin away.
This evening Ben read from Luke 1:46-65 and Acts 2:14-24 eliteling his sermon Signs and Wonders
mighty works
the organisation of the old testament.
they were going to be one.
every one would be a profit, a king, everyone loyal to christ.
not just men or women, all, majorities minorities right with God, the oldest to the youngest.
signs sign and yet he was crucified.
This morning Ben read and preached from Exodus 4:1-17 entitling his sermon 'Signs and Wonders'.Reminding us in V20 I will perform wonders, but due to self doubt in 4:1 Moses is fretting, what if they (the people of Israel) don't believe.
God's response was I am going to give you signs
Signs
From the beginning signs, as written for us through Genesis, 49:3 jacob was the sign of his strength
Signs point to something, signs are there to tell you of what is ahead.
You can know god, V5 the lord the God of Abraham has appeared.there is a plan of salvation.
Wonders
Verse 3:20 wonders, wonders are different from signs, a wonder is a intervention of God, wonders are not spectacles, it is a remarkable acts.
In 3:19 He compels Egypt by is wonder v3:20 Striking Egypt with is out stretched hand resulting in 3:21 to do the will of God.
The wonders are the danger of an almighty God, and his Judgement.
who are the signs
Ben reminds us that God works out his love through people, 4:1 what if they do not believe, 'Israel' Gods people, will walk in it, will you live it out.
In Acts Stephen, says, Moses was a man mighty in speech, Getting someone else, there is a difference between is anger with sin, and the wrougth of God.
God answers his peoples prayers, despite our faltering
For Moses V17 God said Don't forget your staff, there is a work for you to do, the signs are for God's Gods people, that they might believe.
Lets conclude by saying this, we have got a message to preach, the world is in crisis, and we have been given signs to perform, the sign of baptism, the sign o f bread broken, we have been given the sign on of wine poured out.
Why are these signs, baptism: the dead have been alive.(the Staff), Bread: A body broken body.(A perfectly hand cursed) and the Wine: the precious blood of christ, poured out on the earth, (Nile turned to blood).
Be baptised.he is hear with us by the sprit, promises of future things.
When we are called, we are trusting in his word, to accomplish what he has chosen for us.
Do not be hard only so deceiving your self, see the sign, turn believe.
Reading Exodus 3: 1-6

John 10:23 Jesus walking in Solomon's colonnade

So what happened
this was like a sound of rushing wind, like a tongue of fire, it filled the whole

V14 onward Peter he speaks to the ends of the earth, God intends to reach His People.
This evening Ben Preached from Acts 1:12-26 entitling his sermon Judas Replaced
The reading is split in to two phases verses 12-14 gives us a sense of the pridicment, and a heavyness of sprirt.
dealing with grief of the triple trauma in the space of 1 month, the lost Judas and the loss Jesus twice, they were like a boat with full sails up but there is no wind.
Where verses 15-16 tells of the way the Lord leads his church through to resolving Judas, which causes the wind begins to blow. They are charged with a duty of care to look after the weak, they have got to get going, Peter preaches the scriptures must be fulfiled.
Peter preaches verses 18-19 on betrail of Judas, referring to
we need to Psalm 69, call the replacement, pull out the weeds put in the flowers, so they can hear Christs people dealing with greif.
Today Ben preaches from Exodus 3:1-6 'the Burning Bush" where God spoke to Moses when he least expected it, and when he was in the most unlikley place.

Welcome to North Bradley baptist Church.
Preaching Christ since 1775.
We count it a great blessing that the Church has been used by God for so many generations now, and we pray that we might do our part in extending the offer of the Gospel to the generation of which we are a part, in the place where God has set us.
We extend a warm welcome to you to come and join us.

I am one of the technically minded members of our church, and have through the grace of GOD have developed, the website, Audio CD production, and most recently started the Podcast's.
I am very grateful to our Pastor Ben Midgely, and the Deacons, for giving me the freedom to move things forward, with prayerful support and the occasional prodding, or polite suggestion as and when required.
For example I told Ben that I felt the calling to develop NBBC Christian Radio soon after his arrival in February 2007, and since then through the Grace of God many small learning steps have been learnt, and apparently impossible hurdles have been overcome.
My current major project is transferring Ben's teachings on Matthew and Genesis to Podomatic, and perfecting the system of posting the recordings of the meetings as they are made.
Future ventures include production of CD/DVD introducing our Church and its mission to our local community of North Bradley, and the introduction of radio style Christian broadcasts, to peoples IPod’s and Mp3 players via the web.
